Keep up on preventive care

A big part of living a healthier life is detecting health issues early. Preventive care — such as routine wellness exams and certain recommended screenings and immunizations — is covered by most of our plans at no additional cost when you see network providers. A preventive care visit may be a good time to help establish your relationship and create a connection for future medical services.

Get back to doing what you love

Is orthopedic pain stopping you from doing what you love? We’re here to help if you’re looking for information and support to relieve spine or joint pain. Our dedicated orthopedic nurse team can assist you with finding  quality care so that you can get back to your favorite activities.

Our Orthopedic Health Support program is designed to help you:

  • Understand treatment options, costs, your benefits, and how you could save money
  • Manage your pain with help from a registered nurse
  • Learn more about a certain diagnosis and your options
  • Access high-quality providers and find resources that you may not be aware of today
  • Prepare for surgery, should that be needed, and plan for recovery

Connect 24/7 with Virtual Visits

With 24/7 Virtual Visits, you can connect to a Designated Virtual Visit Provider by phone or video* using myuhc.com® or the UnitedHealthcare® app. These Virtual Visit providers are part of a select group of network doctors focused on providing quality virtual care when you need it. They can treat a wide range of health conditions, from flu and pinkeye to migraines and more, and can even prescribe medication** as needed. Since 24/7 Virtual Visits can treat many of the same conditions as an ER or urgent care, so it may be a good option to use as an alternative.

Behavioral health virtual visits

Reaching out may be hard —especially if you might not want anyone to know you’re hurting. From the privacy of home and the convenience of your mobile device* or computer, you can receive caring support from a licensed therapist.

Designed to help treat conditions like ADD/ADHD, anxiety, mental health disorders, addiction, and depression, virtual therapy offers confidential counseling and includes:

  • Private video sessions — in your home and at a time that’s convenient for you
  • Help with coping for adults, children, and teens — your licensed therapist may provide a diagnosis, treatment and medication if needed
  • Similar standard of care as in-person visits — you can see the same therapist with each appointment and establish an ongoing relationship

Once your coverage is effective, be sure to register on myuhc.com or call the number on your health plan ID card.

Talk to a health care professional

When a health care question comes up, we can help you get connected to a health care professional. He or she can help you with:

  • Choosing appropriate medical care.
  • Obtaining guidance for current symptoms 24/7 (via a clinician).
  • Finding doctors or hospitals that meet your needs and preferences.
  • Locating an urgent care center and other health resources in your area.

Once you enroll in our plan, you can call the number on your health plan ID card or login to myuhc.com to connect with a clinician 24/7.
